Good evening all,
Just wondering if anyone can give me any pointers for breaking my Antenna lion from live shrimp. I am only feeding him once a week but I feel it would be much easier it I could just give him a piece of dried shrimp rather then live. I have tried silversides and the works. He will go and look at the piece of food I am dangling in the tank, but upon closer inspection he realizes it is not real. Then he will just watch it till i get pissed off. I know he is laughing at me.
Thanks for the Advice.
J.

Frozen, thawed, on a feeding stick. You should be able to devise one easily enough with plastic cutlery.

Also remember that in the interests of proper nutrition and the long term health of your fish, you need to offer WHOLE food items most of the time - not just fish or shrimp meat. This means whole fish.

-I have been using the whole fish, for that reason only. I am more or less trying to ween he/she/it off of live ghost shrimp for health reasons.
-A feeding stick is something I had not thought of. I am using large tweezers and he seems to be frightened when I move them around the tank. Because of this I keep the food at the surface of the tank. He is enticed by it, but dose not want to take food from the surface. When I release the food he realizes it is dead and moves on.
Anyone know how long he can go without a meal. I do not want to kill him, but right now it is about a week between live shrimp.
Thanks,
J.
