I recently upgraded my tank to a 46 bow from a 29 gallon. I switched everything and added a few pieces of LR. in my old rock I have tons well hundreds of very small bristle stars. a few of them are bigger and maybe about the size of 5 pins for legs. overall a circle size of a half dollar. Once my tank cleared and still adjusting the salinity I noticed that one of the bigger stars moved out of his hidey hole and to the edge of the rock and shot out what looked like something spawning. Like Red dust cloud. It was kind of like when i feed phytoplankton the dropper is like a cloud. it shot out a red cloud maybe a drop or so and went back to his hole.Did it just go to the bathroom? or is it spawning? I had my skimmer on which i kinda wish I didnt but you never know. Anyone know anything about starfish?

Brittle stars spawn very comfortably in an enclosed system. I've seen mine do it quite a few times. You're skimmer will def go nuts if it is enough "stuff" in the water.
