Brownstone and Pre-war Building Residents

Can those of you who live in brownstones or pre-war buildings advise if in general the floors in such structures will support a 120g tank? I'm probably going to have to move in the next year or so because my building will no longer be rent stabilized. Up till now any place I've lived has been concrete slab construction, but in the event I can't find a place like that I'm wondering what options I might have.

I actually have two 120g tanks, one reef and one freshwater Loach tank.

Way better then new construction! they are constructed of 3 x 10's they don't even make those any more. You will be fine in almost any room. I rehab brownstones for a living I know what the guts look like on every single one. You generally have a staircase and then a load bearing wall that forms the hall way. The beams go from left to right. on a narrow 16 footer or pre-war brick townhouse they are solid beams that from left to right. On anything wider they go from the exterior wall to that wall that forms the hallway and then different beams from that hallway wall to the opposite exterior wall. PM me if you need more info.

Just be sure to check your tanks are level before you add water. Older buildings with wood floors are very sturdy however over time they warp and become uneven.

Don't be surprised to be off more then an inch from side to side.

Oh yes. My floors are hilariously uneven. Also, I'm pretty sure there isn't a true right angle anywhere in the building.
