brs dry rock rubble

What's up MR,


Got my order today of brs dry rock rubble to put in my sump/fuge but it seems a little dusty. Do you wash it in tap water or with old water change water?

You could rinse it with rodi water no need to go crazy

I wouldn't use tap. The rock will soak up whatever is in that water. If you don't have a batch of rodi, tank water should be fine.

Thanks guys. I have a batch of rodi water but its only enough for my top off. I'm going to make a bunch of water tomorrow so ill just wait till then.

Definrtly make alot , clean the rock as your making water , i just got mine as well i only cleaned a few hand fulls because i rinsed each batch 3 times and still has dust come off of them when i put it into my tank

I know haha i barley made a dent in the bag i used like 4 big pieces and maybe 2 or 3 handfuls of small

Good to have to mount frags though i have a bunch of riccordea sitting in a bucket of rubble so they mount to something
