BTA in hiding

My Bubble Tip Anemone decided to move toward the back on the tank (and the clown pair is following) - Should I try repositionning it by turning the rock it is attached too around? Should block light from entering this area so taht it moves back to the front (hopefully)? Or should I just do nothing?

Let the anemone be. They move for various reasons; usually to find a more suitable place. Has anything changed in your tank recently? New bulbs, different flow, invert additions, water quality? All of these things can make an anemone move. Also when they split the like to hide in a darker area. If you try to move it, it will just wander off again until it is happy.

i would keep it where it is. if you move it back it will move away from that spot again. but if it is not getting enough light then you might want to move it after a few days.

How would I know if it does not receive enough light? It seems happy so far

Bubble tips are tricky in this regard. The best bet usually is to provide it with such a great place to sink it's foot, that it has little reason to move for light or current reasons. I usually do this either by looking for a rock with a nice deep hole, maybe 2" in diameter, by at least 5" deep...or I drill one.

Light and current are the wild cards, and every specimen seems to have it's own preference. However, I've found that by giving it an ideal place to attach it's foot, this tends to mitigate the other two factors somewhat.

I'd say this works for me maybe 75% of the time. Some just seem to move no matter what.
