Hi,

My Bubble Tip Anenome has decided to move itself to the back of the tank behind the pump for no apparent reason. Nothing has changed in the tank. Any ideas why it has done this and is there anything I can do?

Thanks

Mark

Welcome to RDO!

They'll move around until they find a happy place. Once there, they kinda stay put. If you want you can try pointing a powerhead at it's foot and it will eventually move.

Mark,
I agree with the above helpful tips to try and get your BTA
to move into a more visible location. I have had the same problem before with my Rose and found that when I would dose with KA/Alk it would move around the tank . Now I am using the drip method more consistently throughout the week with better results.

Ok thanks. It is still there today but seems to be alive. Just seems a shame to be hidden away but I dont want to force it to move in case I damage it.

anemones can be problematic because of this movements.
i prefer to let them out while they started to move, it is very easy while they are moving.
of course if you really do not like your bta.

It was starting to be sucked into the pump so I had no choice but to rescue it using a credit card to slide it off the glass. I moved back to the front and now its doing great.

Thanks for you help.
