There is another MR member, George who caught Seahorse, and Pipefish at Oak Beach as well.
I did a little research about Oak Beach Inn.. but I can't seem to figure out if this is a private beach area or is it open to the public?
Cause I'm from Queens, and I remember last summer trying to go to some beaches out on L.I., and if you are not a resident of L.I. there was some ridiculous fee to enter.
Oh and an interesting fact that I found... apparently Oak Beach Inn is the "birthplace" of the famous.. or infamous to some (made one of my friends terribly sick lol) - Long Island Iced Tea
It always amazes me how these little burrfish (and porcupinefish) can just devour live fiddler crabs. Those things have a huge claw which bite really hard. But the burrfish just grab the thing and with no fear, eat the thing parctically whole.
The bites don't seem to bother them but their eyes are vulnerable. I usually break off the bog claw of the crab, the fish don't mind but I want him to keep both of his eyes
