Calarpa take over

Some fell into the tank and now has grown on all of
My rock. Anyway to battle this problem other then takin all the rock out and scrubbing it?

Emerald crabs MIGHT eat it. Find out which species of caulerpa. I had it over run my tank when I first started, and didn't know any better. I started a refugium with the affected rock. It is extremely hardy and doesnt need much light or nutrients to thrive. Good luck.

caulerpa taxifolia has one known predator and it's not available in the aquarium trade. Your best bet is to remove the rock from your display, let the caulerpa dry out and toss it in the garbage(do not flush)

I had Prolifera and Serrulata. The tiniest piece of either can cause it to grow again. Best to "cook" the rock.

That's exactly the reason I got rid of caulerpa...

To many risks.

Took the rocks out and scrubbed them. And got a sea hair to eat whats left of the vegetation
