My 90 mixed reef? I currently use 2 hydor koralias. One on each side of my tank. I am going to add more sps to my tank. Thank you all for the advice.

I have a 75 and use one mp40 and one mp10 on opposite ends of the tank. Most will probably suggest 2 mp40s. When I have the cash I will be getting another mp40 and moving the mp10 to the back glass for max random flow.
Just my opinion of course, but I think 1 mp40 would have a hard time alone. However, you could still use a koralia on the opposite end.

Would that be over kill with 2 mp40's?

Use one MP40 and put a koralia on the other side until you can get another MP40.

One MP40 would have a hard time creating enough flow in the 90. It needs help. 2 at full power is a little overkill, but they are controllable so you tune it down to get your perfect flow.

I have to do it right then!

And just get 2

I have 2 on my 65. Yes it's overkill, but I keep them at around 50%. From the research I did, if I had gone MP10's they'd be at full power and louder. I feel this way, I can keep them lower and quieter and hopefully last longer.

Just to offer a different take on the subject, why not 2 mp10's. I put two in my 90 predominantly SPS and it worked great. I also had a koralia 750 in the back to add a bit back there behind the rocks. Just a thought
