So I wanted to run carbon in a TLF 150 and got a pump, valve and away I went. Before I even put it in my sump in case it leaked I ran almost 15g of RO water in it to try to keep whatever residue down etc.
About a week later I had checked the sump to make sure everything was fine and my reactor cup was oveflowing, foam everywhere on top of the water and the hose lines to the reactor were cloudy (didn't start that way). Shut down the skimmer and there is black skimmate on the lid, cup, and sides. Only thing i could assume is that it came from the reactor but not showing any leaks etc.
Any ideas? Bad combination of the 2? Did I do something wrong?
