Cardinal has frag glue in mouth

I know I read old post that the glue will come off in a day but it has been 2 days and he is so hungry but can't eat. I just don't know how Long do I wait till he might get stressed and die, was thinking of trying to catch him but not sure what to do without hurting him. has it happened to anyone else for more then 2 days?

Happened too my hippo twice after few days he was fine 1 time I did catch him but was unable to open his mouth anyway!

It happened to my trigger...I know triggers are tough fish and could handle the stress of catching it and removing the glue which I did...I wouldn't have done it with a more fragile fish.....give it a few days..you'll be surprised how long a fish can go without food.

Your Cardinal if well fed can easily go a week without food. Wait for a while and see what happens before potentially injuring the fish and creating more stress by catching it.
