Cheato light cycle

All i have im my fuge Is cheato and some rubble rock do i need to run a 24/7 light or can i do a day/night cycle? I ask because i am getting a lot of algea growth in the sump and would like to cut it back some

Run it opposite your display lights for optimum benefit. You may actually be cutting back too many of the nutrients in your display. This method also adds the benefit of stabilizing pH swings at night.

I run my Actinics 12hrs on at 10 am hrs MH 6hrs on at 12pm and fuge 16hrs on at 8pm seems to work out great.

Plants need a dark cycle to grow properly.

You don't want to run Chaeto 24 hours; it requires a dark period. I use 12-on-12-off opposite my display.
