Chiller Question

2 months in with a 1/13th Hp chiller and the thermostat is going bonkers.Yesterday morning it read 104 but the tank was 74 which was too cold but everything was okay.Had to readjust to like 100 to keep it at 77-78.Marinedepot said it was a faulty thermostat.Thoughts?Waiting for a replacement to see if it remedies the issue.

Sounds like a faulty thermostat to me ... at 100F ... yeah ... you would have a swamp for a tank ... They are sending a replacement I wouldn't worry too much about it.

got the same model and everything is good here

Got the new one but this time the thermostat is too low giving me super low readings.Arrgh.Can it be from too much flow going through?

Get yourself a Ranco Controller. Don't rely on the cheap built-in thermostat.

Or just use the AquaController. Now Apex is out, another good excuse to buy new toy.
