I have a 24 gallon tank and I had this tank for 3 going on 4 weeks now. I would like to put a small clam in my tank is this a good idea? if so what do clams eat? Also which type of clam should a beginner buy? Thank you

its to early to put a clam in the tank yet, i bought my clam about 4 months after i started my tank and many people say thats to soon. As for what type of clam to get in ur tank once ur ready it all depends on the type of lighting u have.

i mean alot of people will give u alot of diffrent answers, personaly i think most people like to play it alittle to safe give it like another month keep testing the water keep an eye on the water if its all stable id say go for it. What lighting do u have?

I agree with the above. You want to wait until your params are very stable, you have good live bio filtration setup, and your lighting is sufficient first.
