Thanks John,
I wanted to reduce the actual size, but then you'd lose all the detail too.. next pics will be more "user friendly". :)

Well yeah, they're a little large, too, but I was referring mostly to just how damn close-up they are. That's an impressive macro! :D

Actually, I'm curious about the camera and the glass you used for the macros.
I have been studying the top pick, and if you look closely at the lower right-hand area, the shrimp's tail, you can see that it "fuzzes out" rather considerably.
From what I've learned this is one of the differences you have to look for when considering one lens over another.

While my camera already comes with a pretty good macro mode, and my next two purchases are going to be (in order) a polarizing filter (circular) and a telephoto lens, I do have on hand one Vivitar +10 macro adapter.

So, what are you using for this stuff?

I'm not really a camara buff, but I picked up a Minolta 4.0 megapixel camara for a vacation. I put it on the second highest resolution, because the highest converts it to a .TIF, instead of .jpg's. It's a pretty plain vanilla shot, but what I did, was used the portrait-text setting, I guess for taking shots of small text in a book? ..Dunno. Kinda funny.. I wanted to take a few shots of some blue mushrooms and this guy kept getting in the way, so I focused on him instead. I added no lens (if thats what you mean by "glass" ...See I don't even know that.) to the camara, just shot it "as is".

Even better considering that you know so little. Pretty kewl beans, really.

Sm, couldn't that fuzz also be attributed to what method of focusing he used, ie. spot.

Yeah... good chance, because it gives me a "box" to focus the shot on.. I aimed at this guys head... makes sense.

ah.. got the camara right here now... it's a:
Minolta DiMage S404 4.0 MEGA PIXELS
High Speed CPU
4x Optical Zoom.

Jibberish to me.. but prolly makes sense to you.
HTHs,
