Clown fish fights

I probably know the answer but ill try anyway. I had a naked clown andout 1.5 or so inches I added a onyx slightly bigger.. they were fine swimming together nicely.. yesterday i noticed the naked going after the onxy but not bad and the onyx was backing down.Today I saw them on different sides of the tank when lights came on ding ding .. the onyx was fighting back they got to the point where they were lip locked and violently fighting..so onyx went in the fuge..Is it possible the naked and the onyx turned female already?I really dont want to put them back together if its gonna end bad..Im tossed on what to do the onyx is beautifull and the naked was the first fish I got.. I knoiw they fight to pair up but this fight does not look like a pair up fight..should I wait a few days and try again or do I have to part with one of them?

Jaw locking is very bad sign.

It is possible they are both female.

Is one of them smaller?

Arati is right.

Most likely that is a sign that both are female or turning into females.

The aggressor is slightly smaller. But when the bigger one finally fights back he seems more likely to be the one doing damage.its in my fuge with cheato can i shut the fuge light for a few hrs a day to gibe him rest. I might have to get a small plug n play nano and put him in there with a nem.nem.
