Today I took Long island Andy and his friend Matt out on my boat to collect grass shrimp. We went here where I always go. Walking through here I saw the biggest blue claw crab I have ever seen but I couldn't catch him as we only had a scene net and not a crab net. Normally I would step on it and pick it up from the back, but this one was so big he would have gotten me into a full Nelson and brought me home to feed his kids so he is still there. No worries as I am going back with a crab net in a few days and I know where he lives.

We went to shore in my dinghy where Andy immediately fell in the water. He is as graceful as he looks, kind of like a swan. But he luckily didn't get hurt or scare away the shrimp. He did get a cut on his leg and the last guy I brought there also got a cut on his leg and ended up in the hospital for a few weeks where they wanted to amputate his leg, so I hope Andy is fine. I gave him my very extensive and expensive first aid kit. One that you can perform an appendectomy with and he put some goopy stuff on his cut. I myself don't get cut because I have that Sicilian skin and you can't penetrate it. I wanted to put a tourniquet on his leg but he thought that was over the top.
So we dragged the net through the water a few times and got a few hundred shrimp. I sunk in the sticky mud once and Andy pulled me out.
I only took about ten shrimp because I thought my fish were to small to eat them. Boy was I wrong. My fish ate them all before the entire shrimp was even underwater, The fish were salivating as soon as I brought the shrimp in the house. I will get more next week as there is so many of them around my boat that it barely touches the water, just shrimp.

The day was good and I am glad we got some shrimp, because if we didn't, we would have been up Sheets Creek

nice, I also have a couple of dozen shrimps I scooped up a couple of weeks ago to keep by butterflies company. They are great for keeping macro algae clean of micro algae and other epiphytes, since they can swim and get to places hermit crabs cant reach. I just recommended them as a clean up crew for some ones sea horse tank in general discussion.
