CONTROL OF aiptasia

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT CAN CONTROL THIS IVE USED TWO BOTTLES OF JOES JUICE AND I KEEP SEEING NEW ONES IS THERE A TYPE OF FISH THAT EATS IT THATS REEF SAFE OR AN INVERT IM GETTING MAD:irked:

Peppermint Shrimp

peppermint shrimp has been known to eat them..sometimes they dont though

Got 1 peppermint, did nothing for a few days. One night I had 10 aiptasia, the next morning NONE. He did the job, just gotta be patient. If the aiptasia are large he won't eat them either.

TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK WE GET THAT UR FRUSTRATED BY SIMPLY USING AN EXCLAMATION MARK... copperbands have been known to eat aiptasia... a simple google search will show u lots.....

ok caps are off. i knew copperbands do it but didnt want to take the chance with coral nibbling

not all copperbands will eat aptasia. it is hit or miss. I tried a racoon butterfly fish but it nipped at my acans. I think the safest method is to use Joe's Juice.

I just fed a giant aptasia a syringe of Kalkwasser slushie. It seemed to explode in a horry. I hope it works. Peppermints have never failed me in the past either. Just don't have any in the tank with the giant pest. Wished i had taken a before and after pic. It really was the largest one i'd ever seen.

there are several methods commonly used by hobbyests and it depends on the route you want to take and the size of your tank etc. some options to consider are this is by no means a complete list

natural options:
Berghia verrucicornis= obligate aiptasia eating nudibranch will starve to death once aiptasia are completly gone
cobberbanded butterfly=large fish may or may not consume aiptasia
peppermint shrimp=hit or miss may or may not eat aiptasia
goldhead butterfly=not nessecarily reef safe, also hit or miss

chemical options:
stop aiptasia (never tried it dont know)
joes juice (you tried it but its on the list anyhow)
boiling water injections (I dont do it but others claim success)
lemon juice injection and bath with syringe= this is the method I use and have great success with. may take multiple attempts if done in tank
kalk paste= here great things about this but be wary of affecting water parameters

I have a Six Line Wrasse in my setup, will he harm the shrimp/inverts if I add to control aiptasia?
