Copper treatments

I made a stupid green mistake and used a copper base medicine to cure ick in my 40 gallon. I have live rock and a couple a tube worms and one polyp that came on one of my live rocks. They seem to not be bothered by it. I did the treatment in begining of January. How long should I waite untill i have put some snails and crabs?

Do you have a copper test kit? I would do a 20% water change(maybe 2) and test for copper.

Copper won't dissipated on its own over time. You'll need to do a series of large water changes (I'd recommend numerous 40-50% water changes) to dilute the levels. A test kit is definitely a good idea; it's the only way you can be sure the levels are low enough for inverts.
