my petstore just got one , it is so cool looking , it says it will do well with my toher fish , he eats bad stuff off of them and stuff in the tank, but he is a crustacean , my eel will probably eat him wont he ?
FWIW,
my large coral band never had issues with my small snowflake. although i did make sure to feed the snowflake first. however, i never saw my shrimp do much fish cleaning.
here's another 2 cents, my coral banded shrimp is tough and territorial. i wish i had gotten a fire shrimp or skunk shrimp first. there supposed to be better cleaners.
kirtis are you at it again, slow down kid, this is a hobby of patience, are you deaf and blind, if no one understands what I am talking about go to kirtisis previous post (how many fish), kid you are ignorant aren't you.
What's the matter with you kirtis? He's giving you good advice, don't take it personally, and don't put anything else in until the tank has aged. For now just save up your money so you can get a nice skimmer and other things for your new 55. Take it slow and at least listen to what we are telling you, after all isn't that why you're posting here?
Back to the thread, once your tank has fully cycled it would be ok to add one. They will only clean rather large fish though, not the smaller reef type fish. I second pojohnny's idea to get a cleaner or fire shrimp ONCE YOUR TANK HAS AGED.
