Coral bleaching in Florida Reefs

It's sad to keep seeing stories like this more and more. I haven't had a chance to visit a Reef for myself yet. I'm really looking forward to diving to one someday. Who knows what they'll look like by then

There's some awesome diving spots for sure. Just got back from Turks and Caicos, some of the best i'v seen so far.
The Pacific is now in a cool phase and has been for the last few years. The Atlantic is showing sings of flipping to a cool phase, if it hasn't already as well. The Pacific and Atlantic have a warm phase, of about 35 years, then a cool phase for about 35 years. Antarctic sea ice has been growing since then, and after this current el nino should return in full effect. The return of a cool phase in both oceans should/will bring global sea ice closer to norm, and start to return alkaline levels to a better for sea life place too. There is an 800 year lag in ocean temps, as compared to atmosphere temps, and 800 years ago was the end of the medieval warm period, so it makes sense and was predictable that ocean temps would rise, and will be some time before we're out of the woods. I remain hopeful.
