Anyone ever run a coral only system?
I am tring it out... with an Oceanic BioCube 14G.
Without fish, filtration and water changes should be simple. Using only the carbon/floss filter that comes with the unit. Remove the bio balls and replace with a heater in that section. Live rock and DSB should be all that's needed. This system was seeded from my main system. (everything taken from my main system)
Soft corals frags - Frog spawn, leather, and some green star polyps.
Livestock - 1 hermit, 4 snails, and a peppermint shrimp.
Feeding schedule - 2/3 formula one pellets and a drip or two of KENT MARINE MICROVERT a day.
Aside from growth, which I am not looking to accomplish in this system, what do you think the outcome will be??? When will the system require it's first water change?
