is it possible for corralling * or however u spell for them to grow in a 4 month and half tank? was introduced with live rock, kinda looks like paint splatter , light purple i would say on live rocks,

Coralline algae

As long as you put in live rock with coral one and your calcium levels are good it will grow after 2 years all my rock has finally turned purple so 4 months is a great start

I can't grow purple for crap, rocks always turns pink/purple at first then becomes like an emerald green all around with red coralline. Only place I find purple/pinks are in light lit areas under over hangs etc, I always wonder how people get a dense looking fully purple rock. The purple seems like they like low light areas only in my setups.

Yea, the coralline algae do prefer lower light.
