Some of the phosban got into main tank and in last cpl weeks, ive had a cpl losses of fish that were doing great and showed no sign of illness all the corals are great and most fish great. Im wondering if eating this could cause some loss. Theres still a decent amount on the sandbed

afaik, the phos and nitrate bond to the phosban. so assuming its a lot of phosban, it could be bonded and holding in tons of phos and nitrate and they are just leaching back into the display.

Id try to vacuum up as much as possible and run carbon.

FWIW I had a bag of purigen bust open a while ago. I vaccumed out as much as I could but i still see little balls of it in my display at sump. they have been there for probably about 4 months now with no discernable effect on nitrates or phos as far as i can tell.
