It looks like it will be a few weeks before my wood hood is completed, and my impatience is starting to show. I want to order UNcured rock and cure it in my show tank (now completely empty)so that I'll get the most life/hitchhikers.
However, I've heard some people say that they've gotten some corals, sponges, macro-algae on their uncured rock, and I wonder if they would survive the curing process if I only used the low light (40-80 W of NO).
On the other hand, would any light loving corals survive the first trip from the ocean to my MO rock source, and then the second trip from there to my tank? If not, my original question is moot.
