I'll play:
What kind of substrate? Crushed argonite created a lot more problems for me than sand in terms of algae growth.
How old are the T5 bulbs? Old bulbs produce a spectrum shift that benefits cyano.
Have you tried shutting off the lights for a few days? Do this then a very large water change before resuming light cycle.
It also looks like you have a very light bioload, so cut way way back on the feeding, you should really need little food.

It is Aragonite and have been removing some with every water change. T5's and MH's are 2 months old and am only using the MH's for now fot 5.5hrs a day. I feed the fish once every three days. I have shut off the lights and performed large water changes which didn't really work.
Update: The Cyano has ceased, with the exception for a tiny bit in one corner (which hasn't grown) due to a lack of flow which I'm going to correct by adding a small power head to increase the flow in that one corner. I have increased the photo period to 7hrs without any Ill affects. I'm making RO and am going to do another 30 gal water change over the weekend. The tank is responding remarkably well to the ESV salt, all inhabitants have perked and colored up nicely.

I didn't take any before pics (Lets put it this way, it was on everything, walls, rock and sand) but I will take some pics when the lights come on and post them. Mind you the tank is pretty bare at this point but I will be taking my LR out of the sump and putting it back in the tank and begin populating the tank with some corals.
i have a 55g with a 20g sump i have a mp20 a seio620 , 100pds of live rock. i do water changes every week. tds meter shows 0tds. i only have 3 fish's , feed m-f,
have a phosban reactore with media and i change it every 2 weeks, run carbon passive. lights are good only 5mths old . i just installed a euro reef rs100 which is doing its job right now. i tell u im doing everything as best as possible, siphon every water change. the only thing i say worked for me was special blend. so far ive seen its working , i still have but very light.i really dont know what else to do . probably like u did change from rc to esv.

GSP is beautiful but it can grow like crazy. I like it lower in the tank where it can cover rocks. jmo

So was it the change of salt or the special blend that did thwe trick? You did both, right?
