My bicolor blenny began picking at my crocea clam a week ago and is now closing up. Just yesterday he began picking at my maxima. I wish I could catch the blenny and save the clams, but it looks like the clams will be easier to catch:rolleyes: . The clams look better than the blenny IMO. I just hope that after I remove the clams that he will not turn on the SPS corals.

Put a cube of mysis or brine shrimp in a big net.

Your bi-colored friend will swim in for food.

Someone recently had some success catching fish with a wine decanter. If you do a search for either decanter or carafe, it should come up.

All you need to do is place an inviting shelter in the tank, and simply remove the object when the fish decides to use it.
I used to use an 8" clam shell for this. I'd simply close the shell with the fish inside and remove it. A piece of live rock with an appropriate sized hole drilled in it can work as well.

I've also acclimated fish to the presence of a net sitting at the bottom of the tank. Over a few days I'd place food there and sooner or later I'd have the fish. I think the longest that method has ever taken me was 3 days.

I used the leave-the-net-in-the-tank trick to catch a coral beauty angel once. It was there over a month before he finally ventured in.

My bi-color was an aggressive eater. Took about 15 minutes :D

i am thinking that I will remove the clams and replace them with SPS corals. I added a green hydnophora today and it looks great. I also plan on adding a yellow tang as well, I miss the old one and so do my kids, so that is what I'll get.

Wish me luck.

Make one of them a fire coral, that'll teach that damn blenny.
