dead rock

Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone knows the best way to seed dead rocks to bring them back to life i got like 80 pound's from a old tank i had.

Put them in a vat of warer with a heater, power head for circulation and a piece of healthy live rock.

You may want/need to scrub them first to get any crud off of them. Remember since they are dead, they will need to cycle (and become cured live rock) before you put them in your tank. If you add the piece of live rock too soon, you stand a good chance of killing off anything on THAT piece of rock too.

A couple of weeks in a vat by themselves - do some water changes and watch for ammonia) before you add the live rock to seed tem is best.

light isn't necessary. You're just cycling bacteria.
also, make sure the vat is SALTwater and not just water.
