This is my first coral many years ago my first tank crashed due to summer high heat, I got the tank up again and it was gone. I up graded to a bigger tank as I was making the move. I found a peace of my Devil's Hand coral about the size of the tip of my finger I put on a rock a 3 yeas later the it is about the size od a hand! I have fraged many corals but never a leather if I frag it I did not want a scared up leather corad in the front of my tank, do they heal up and look the same after cutting? what the best way to frag it cut the fingers off? I would realy like to cut the bottom part as for it very large with small fingers?

thanks

Leathers are the easiest to frag IMO. They usually heal very well leaving no scars. All you need is a clean sharp blade of some sort, or a scissor.
Not sure what you mean by "I would realy like to cut the part as for it very large with small fingers?". Are you saying you want to cut the small fingers at the base of the coral? If yes, then yes you can cut away the small fingers.
Make sure to use clean tools. Using something dirty can cause an infection that can lead to the lost of the coral.
