Diatoms question

So I do some aquascaping and take all the rock out and rearrange everything. One of the pieces I took from the bottom flipped it and placed it on top. So after a few days just this one rock has developed brown diatom algae on it. Is there a way to get rid of it other then throwing a power head on it.

Diatoms will run their course and go away with time. In new tanks and new redone aquascaping they are normal occurrences.
