Ok I got these suckers in my 65 gallon tank. I have confirmed these are digitate hydroids. My tank started with a few and now they are popping up more and more. I have done tons of research on them and find mixed views. Some people say harmless and they will die out in time and others say they sting and will kill corals. What are your opinions on these and how are some ways I can get rid of them? I cut down my feeding a lot to see if hopefully they will run out of nutrients and die off. I recently put a vortech mp40w in the tank and have it in nutrient transport mode to stir up and push out the dietrus into the overflow. I have attached a pic of what I have. This pic is not from my tank but one I found on the internet. I have this exact hydroid.
If any of you have these or have experience with them please help me out. Thank you for your time.
