i have a 120gal. tank with about 400lbs live rock and corals. i recently introduced a rose anemone and my gold stripped maroon (the biggest clownfish in the tank) already claimed the anemone his. i now see him chasing around all the other fish (fox's,tangs, smaller clowns, etc.) in my tank and being very aggresive. is this because he is gaurding the anemone? if i take the anemone out will he chill out???

Marroon clowns in general are more aggressive than other clownfish. They will become more territorial if an anemone is introduced because now they have something worth protecting. It would be very difficult to remove the anemone now that it's in there though because odds are that the clown will be biting you. There's also the risk of tearing the anemone's foot once it has attached to a rock.

so do you think it was a bad idea putting the rose anemone in my tank? will it end up causeing a big ruckus in my tank? right now the anemone is in the center of my tank, it most likely will stay there then is this correct?
i heard they divide into more is this true and very common? if i do decide to take it out of my tank, how would i go about doing it? would i get stung if i used my hands, im sure id get bitten by the maroon clown. is it a good idea to keep the anemone in my tank or just more trouble? i want whats best for my fish/corals.

I think it will be ok, its new to everyone, give it a little and see if everyone gets use to it. they all will learn were to go and not to. 120 gal is big enough for all to live happy
