Do I Need More Light

Im currently running 6 blub T5's over my 60g zoa tank. I notice that my zoas are stretching for the light. I have 4 blue plus, fiji purple, and 1 aqua blue plus special. Do I need to change something?

Those are pink n golds... wouldn't worry too much about them going for reach.

There's other zoas that's reaching too. I just though they wasn't getting enough light

how high above the tank? how tall is tank ?

it does look like they need light, but skene is right pink and golds are not a good reference and a 6b over a 6og frag tank sounds like plenty of light.

It's 6" off the top. The tank is a cube. 24x24x24. The gold palys is not the only zoas reaching. Mostly all of them is reach. Greens, hornets, etc

looking at them yes. but 6b t5 should be good . so I am going with yes you need more lite

If the bulbs are old they might need changing. 6 bulb ATI should be enough.

should I take out 1 of the blue bulbs and put in a white bulb? Theses bulbs are probably 3/4 mo old I believe

You get alot of PAR from the Blue plus and the Aquablue Plus is a whiter bulb with good PAR also. The actinic really does nothing as far as I am concerned. I am running 2 actinic with 2 Blue Plus and I am going to change them out to 3 Blue Plus and 1 AquaBlue. I am running halides and my paly's reach also so I don't thing it is the lighting.

Ok so I'm going to wait another month or 2 before I change out my bulbs and keep an eye out on them.
