I have a dog face puffer, about 6-7 inches big and on his bottom in front of his bottom fin is buldging kinda like shes pregent or something.
She eats fine no apperent fighting marks shes housed with a panther grouper and a rectangular trigger and both dont seem to mess with her except for the trigger but thats only "swim byes" as I call it no nipping. Can she be pergent? What kind of babies do they have? just got her about 2 weeks ago and wasnt like this seems fine like I said moves around very nosey like a puffer. Kinda looks like she needs to poop real lot

Since you keep calling it "him" it can't be pregnant. ;-)
Seriously though all species of Arothron have somewhat lumpy bodies from time to time and is nothing to be concerned about.

Hi Diver,

An egg-bound puffer usually starts puffing up her tummy, which is towards the tail, not on the front side.
It ends up puffed up evenly on the bottom side.

Check whether the puffer has eaten something.

Without a male to inseminate the eggs there won't be any puffer babies.
If your puffer is about to spawn, she will get irritated and needs extra care.
