Monzanillo Dominican rep.

During my last visit to the D.R. the divers at my collection station told me that Lion Fish had over run the reefs. Collecting had become hard as the Lion fish knew that the divers would force the little fish out of the rocks. It was like ringing a dinner bell. I told My wife's cousin "eat the damn things" I was told Dominicans were scared of them. So when I got home I sent a clip from you tube to him on how to clean and cook lion fish. Well the tables have turned now everyone in town and the restaurants are serving lion fish and they have become hard to find. Dominican claim it the best tasting fish around. Its good to be on top of the food chain

Good to hear. Diving in the BVI last trip they have really gotten to be common in the area. I follow the sighting reports and seems they breed like rabbits. A lot of Caribbean waters can't get ahead on spearfishing and eating them alone.
