Hey Guys Just Ordered 60lbs Of Dried Live Rock, Can I Just
Boil It And Add It To The Aquarium. Would That Sterilize It.

Do you mean cure the rock by boiling it in hot water??

You would still need to scrub the rock then place into a tub with a protien skimmer and do water changes until it is cured.

Curing live rock

Curing consist of putting the rock into tank of some sort and letting the levels go up and come down.... Most of the time people use a protein skimmer on this tank or rubbermaid to filter the excess nutrients that come of and from inside this rock during this process... Once the levels of ammonia and nitrite have gone up and came back down this process is finish.. Then you can rinse in a bucket of saltwater, scrub any additional die-off and Walah... Your done... This process could take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks depending on the amount of water changes done during this process and the size skimmer used...
