Suggestion of edible insecticide or repellent for veggies please.

If you look up bug repelling essential oils, you'll find a mix of oils that different bugs are averse to. I'm not sure how effective it is, but I'm guessing it's safer than most chemical insecticides.

Additionally, the best way to repel insects in a garden is to determine what insects are a problem, then plant things that they don't like. You can create a natural barrier that way.
