Thanks for bringing out front this information on ELAC and Earth Island Institute. It is really good to see a different spirit of feeling for village people as embodied in these groups.
They should be natural allies in any pro village, Filipino first type training endeavors.

This organization, as well as a couple of others, will be covered in the next article, this one on the fisherman of Coron. They face a very different situation than those in Palauig. It will be deeper, probably longer, and serious rather than humorous.

They would be natural allies. I'll send you a couple more that may be instrumental in providing help as well...
