I agree, if you're gonna put it in a danky basement up against two walls. Different environments exude different equipment imo

no, design. I think the top that comes with the base version is nice as it lets you put in your own lighting fairly easily. Haven't seen it in person yet but the stand finish looks similar to the cb2 shiny lacquer white furniture.

I was at the elos store the other day and it is a nice tank. between the midi and 70, it would depends on the type, style, and design you want to go for.

I was just at the elos store today and I think the concept 80 does not look as nice as the other aquariums in the elos line. The overflow is different than the regular elos signature overflow and is smack in the center of the tank which I think doesn't look great on a rectangular tank.


IMO I wouldn't pay that kind of money for the concept 80.


The aquatop tank cover is made of acrylic instead of glass.

Overall I'm not thrilled with it but that's my opinion

I will say that Ralph the elos rep/owner at the Aqua Studio was very pleasant to talk to.

My money would go toward the system 100 or 70.

Ah, I thought it was glass. I also prefer the overflow on the corner so I can have an unobstructed view from 3 sides as my tank sits in the middle of my apt. Thanks for the update.

Acrylic severely cheapens the look of The aquatop but you can probably order it with glass.

Ralph told me he would talk the Italy about the location and design of the overflow but good luck with them doing anything about it anytime soon.
