ETSS Evolution 750 Skimmer ? Any good ?

Anybody have any experience with this skimmer ? How would it stack up against a needlewheel skimmer ? i heard that downdraft skimmers are older technology and require more pump pressure for them to work efficiently while the modern NW skimmers require less pump to operate effectively (though more would be better). Is that true ?

I have used one for years and it works very well, but what you say above is true. They do need a larger pump and you might get equal or better performance from a more economical NW design. If you want a small downdraft though, this is the one to get.
