You may want to cover the tanks at least with a towel(s) to make sure that none of the chemicals go into the water... seal sump area while he is in the vicinity of the tank.

Why risk it? It still is in the air with microscopic particals. Im sure you canopy isnt air tight.

Go to home depot and get that Dexter style plastic wrap and completely seal the entire system.

This is definitely the way to go if you NEED to have an Exterm come in and spray.

careful, ive heard horror stories you want to seal it up well enough for no chemicals to get in but not long enough for it to suffocate your fish.......i would maybe keep some poly pads around i know they absorb a lot of toxins but i dont know if they absorb everything and also air out the apartment as best you can immediately after
