The frag is pictured below, close to 6" tall when fully open. It's a nice purple color, a little darker than in the photo. It's photosynthetic (this isn't a dendronephthya) and does best in medium random currents. I made this cutting about 6 weeks ago, and is fully attached to the mount. You can see the mother colony in my tank log.

Pickup in Washington Heights. I'm unfortunately not going to be able to go to the swap.

Well, the main colony is in the middle of the left side of my tank (if you look at 'my tank' under my avatar, you'll see some photos). I run 250w 10k XM bulbs, so I don't know how it will do under less lighting, but according to Sprung's book, they do fine under med-high lighting. They are found in the wild in protected lagoons, so not a good match for a high-flow sps tank. I have a vortech with the wireless wave timer on pulse. The pump is on the oposite side of the tank from the coral, so it gets pulses of medium flow water. It blows in the current, but not a lot. I moved the sale frag to the other side of the tank, closer to the vortech, and it didn't open up very much. I target feed several corals in the tank with cyclopese and rotifers, so they get the leftovers.

Reefman, thanks for the info. I haven't found a ton of info on it either, but I had seen that they weren't supposed to be very aggressive. Interesting that the article suggests it's an invasive species in Brazil. I wonder how it got there? I haven't noticed any effects on my other corals or fish since I've had it (about 6 weeks), so hopefully it isn't a major issue.
