feeding acans

can anyone tell me the best way to feed them. i put a cut poland spring bottle around it and squrit the food on it is there a better way thanku

i spot feed mine with a long baster feeder at nite

Tony I use a Turkey baster. I find the best time is when the lights are off because that's when I have noticed the polyps fully extended for longer periods of time. I do shut the powerheads but not the skimmer. I don't feed each polyp at every feeding though. I alternate polyps each time. Do rinse your frozen foods though with ro water.

i hope i didnt screw them up i been feeding them in the daytime i will feed them at night my food is frozen i thaw them and mix it with my fishtank water

i use a cut 2 liter bottle and use the top 1/2 and instead of using the cap i squirt threw the cap hole.

day or night they both will extend their tentacles when the food is upon them. just turn off the power heads

mine are usually ready to eat later on in the day (an hour before lights go off)...I use a turkey baster with mysis and gently place the mysis on the tentacles...no problemo.

My acans eat all the time day or night they seem hungry and never turn down food I feed them cut up clam silver sides just about anything!

I feed my acan day or night, i generally use a turkey baster and turn off my pumps but keep the skimmer on. mine eat more readily during the night, during the day they keep their feeders in until they smell food.

mine look like they keep their feeders in until night im gonna try to keep feeding them in the day to see if their feeders come out also does an acan change color? mine were peppermint now there is purple coming on on them if im able to ill take a picture
