Fire fish - help

My firefish looks likes it is dying. I have him/her about 4 years. For the past 2 days it is staying at the bottom, not eating and getting very thin. I was expecting to find him dead this morning but he is still alive. I assume there isn't anything to do to help.

if you have it for about 4 years it may be old enough to die
or
it may got sick

Unless you made an addition to your tank and it's getting bullied, or it's dying of old age.

4 yrs is a pretty good life for a firefish.

Was dead this morning. My guess is old age. He was down in an area where he felt protected. It was interesting to see my spotted cardinal staying at the opening of that area as if he were keeping watch on him.
