First Overflow Disaster!!
I have a Oceanic 57g Rimless with a 30 gallon sump. I have not had any problems with my tanks. Probly because i spend every free minute with them. But last night. What a mess. I don't have an ATO setup yet, I just turn the valve on the RO and watch it instill its back to level. Well last night after work I was in a rush to go to my friends stag party. I turned on the RO and forgot all about it. I left the house about 6:30 p.m. I get a phone call from my girlfriend about 11:30p.m. "Did you forget to shut the water off?" OMG. It filled up the sump, soaked the stand,(Tech stand with is destroyed now) went through the carpet into the basement and soaked a good part of the corner of the basement. The good part is nothing died. I took water out of the sump. I added salt into the return chamber of the sump. By the morning my salinity was back in a safe range. I was always told i would flood my tank at one point or another. I never believed it. Hopefully that's the last time.
