The tank is 3.5 months old. It is a 46 gal bow front. 2x96watt PC 50/50. CPR bakpak skimmer. 2 rio 600 and 1 penguin 660(came with tank and totally sucks), 65lbs LR 40lbs LS.

Current occupants

yellow tang (about 3 years old)
flame angel
cleaner shrimp (molted 5 times in 2 months)
2 conch's
4 turbos
3 blue leg hermits (4 more in skimmer box)
tons of stomatellas
5 or 6 tiny starfish hitchers
2 or 3 bristle worms hitchers
some other unidentified hitchers
xenia
mushrooms 2 types
button polyps
zoas
montipora digita
GSP
galaxia
frogspawn
candy coral
encrusting gorgorian
caulerpa of 3 flavors

Everything is going smoothly. I aquired alot of frags recently, thus the large quantity and unexpected diversity of small corals. At about the time that I was given some very nice frags, tiny ones started growing out of the rock so I have a pretty good albeit unexpected arrival of a few different types of corals. Once I get the overflow, the skimmer will be moved to the sump. I have a very narrow stand so the sump will be a 13 gallon, tall, garbage can under the tank in the middle partition of the stand. I plan on putting about 3 inches of sand in the sump with a few chunks of base rock and a small light over it. Anyhow it is still a work in progress.

If by the diatom bloom you mean the hard green algae that is on the glass I have it already. My snails are working hard at night and thus I think the reason for the population explosion of my stomatellas. I had a bit of cyno but I think my pods are handling that well, I also readjusted the flow when I saw it. That is why that one power head is so low in the tank on the right side. Well, that and it just sucks. Free PH though so why waste it right? Put it to as good of a use as I can find for it lol.

looks good chris. I especially like the arch on the left. I bet the cleaner shrimp doesn't move very far from that perch!

No he is just about a permanent fixure there. The only time he moves is when I am feeding the candy corals by hand, he will come out and beg for a few pieces. It is quite the pathetic sight lol. Corals are doing outstanding by the way. Thanks!!
