Here are some new pictures I took of my reef today. It's only four weeks old and doing good so far. The tank is a 180 from AGA and there are 150lbs of Marshall Island rock from Premium Aquatics. There are lots of little critters crawling all over them and I included pictures of a few of them.

Wow, that looks really nice, I'm glad you're taking your time with it too, too many times have I seen "help my tank is 4 weeks old and the 328090918230981 fish i put in there are some how dying!"

But whats the first hitchhiker? type of sponge?
Aiptasia.. definately bad :) <-- also bubble algae in that pic, might want to take the rock out and pick them buggers off.
Gorilla crab perhaps.. if so also definately bad.

First hitchhiker looks like a Porities SPS to me :D

Very nice aquascaping .... a blank canvas ready for painting!

Thanks for the comments. I'm pretty happy with the aquascaping, especially for my first tank.

I'm pretty sure the first one is a Porites. You can see another one (purplish-brown color) in the upper right part of the picture. The bubble algae in that pic was there when I put the rock in the tank and I haven't picked it off since it doesn't bother me yet.

The crab is about an inch and a half wide. I see him rarely at night only so I had to use the flash in that picture. He definitely scared me the first time I saw him creeping back into his hole.

That looks like some excellent rock. I really like the openess. Two seperate rock structures works out well too. Your corals will have plenty of room to grow and your fish will be pleased with all the swimming space. A+ in my book.
