HEy all,

I have a dragon Goby that I introduced to my tank about a week ago problem is (aside from not seeing him eat a thing) is that he is only using one gill. I don't see any movement at all from the other gill. All my parameters are fine.

Anybody have any idea what it could be and how to treat it?

Thanks all

when you purchase the fish, did you see both of the gills moving?
if it was caused by injuries, depending on how it happened, it may or may not recover,
if it is parasites, a couple of f/w dips will solve the problem.

I do believe both the gills were moving when i first got him. This fish has acted a little "strange" since I first got him. I've tried to get a good look at him to see if he has ich or anything but it doesn't appear to have it. But, he does have some sort of fleshy thing on the outside of his mouth. I wonder if this is do to damage resulting from the fights he had with my Scopas (the scopas won).

Well, am gonna try and catch him and give him a fresh water dip. I hope whatever he has is not contagious.

Thanks

I guess I have to
