I have a few days free coming up next week and would like to get in one more fishing trip ( havent gone since the summer :( ) A couple friends and I have been attempting to get out to Montauk to try one of the party boats for a couple years now and things just never seem to work out but now it might actually so I was wondering if anyone here has a suggestion of a boat to try. We've done winter fishing so we know what to expect in terms of the frigid, wet conditions and I'm assuming any boats going out now will be for ling and cod but being that we've never gone to Montauk we're not sure what boats are worth the trip.

You're going to Montauk at a bad time. The blackfish season ended today and the cod haven't quite moved in. It's not worth it to drive there for ling. IMO you're better off traveling to Jersey for a blackfish trip (their blackfish season stays open). The big Mohawk out of Belmar is a great boat. If you feel like traveling further the Capt Collet out of Atlantic City and the Northstar out of Cape May are great blackfish boats as well.
If you insist on leaving from Montauk the Rosie has been catching a few cod and ling.
