Yesterday I went on the Navigator out of Emmons Ave. Boat left at 7:30 and returned at 3:00 PM. went for Porgies and Sea Bass. Had a great time. 15 keepers between me and my sister. My friend had another 10. Only four other people on the boat. I wasnt crazy about the boat, though, but we had a great time. Caught some sharks, skates, and non-keepers as well- they got thrown back.

Apparently the bottom ( if by that you mean fluke ) fishing isn't so good yet this season. I was told that the size limit on fluke was raised to 18". The boats are having a lot of catches but mostly small ones that get thrown back.

i meant porgies, seabass and/ or flukes. porgy and seabass fishing happen to be 1 of my favs. lmk the next time you go. thanks

This was my first time fishing for porgies and seabass. I usually go for fluke ( good eating, boring fishing ) or stripers and blues ( ok eating, great fishing ). This time I wanted to try something new and I was happy with the fishing. Ill let you tonite about the eating

I wont be able to go until next month since I will be in and out of town for a couple of weeks but Ill post next time I go.
